Proven Technology Stack
Ruvuma Energy deploys globally validated technology from Baker Hughes and Samsung E&A — the same OEM and EPC partners behind Coral FLNG, Sabine Pass, Tangguh, and Prelude.
Gas-to-LNG-to-Distribution Flow
Gas Receiving & Pre-treatment
Feed gas from Ntorya (TZ) and ENH Area 1 (MZ) enters the plant and undergoes mercury removal, CO₂ absorption (amine unit), dehydration (molecular sieve), and NGL recovery.
Refrigerant Compression
Mixed refrigerant (MR) compressors driven by Baker Hughes LM9000 aeroderivative turbines cool the gas progressively through a multi-stage refrigeration cycle.
Liquefaction at -162°C
Pre-cooled gas enters the main cryogenic heat exchangers where it is liquefied to -162°C at atmospheric pressure. LNG is produced at >93% recovery factor.
Storage (3 × 50,000 m³)
LNG is stored in three full-containment cryogenic tanks (inner nickel steel, outer concrete) with 24/7 BOG recovery, vapour management, and Level 1 safety instrumented systems.
Marine Loading & Export
LNG is transferred via insulated loading arms to LNG carriers at the multi-berth export jetty. ISO tanker bay serves the Virtual Pipeline resupply fleet.
Virtual Pipeline Distribution
ISO tanker trucks and CNG trailers dispatch from the platform to 10 regional hubs — delivering LNG/CNG to mines, industries, and NGV corridors across 5 countries.
